The Song that introduced you to Therion

I see it mentioned all over, and I've only been here for like, ten minutes.

"'Cuz it's the song that introduced me to Therion!"...

So, why not have a thread? I hope there wasn't already a thread... sorry if there was...  :|

Anywho...

What is the song that introduced you to Therion, and if you can't remember, what song really got you into Therion?

Mine is Into Remembrance...although Seven Secrets of the Sphinx could count as well since that's the first song on Deggial - the first album that I got.

It was Eye of Shiva  :-D
then i dl'd Cthulhu and i really thought the first time i made a search mistake.

It caught my attention so then i started hearing other better songs than those and since there i started loving Therion and never get tired listeing them  :lol:

the first song i heard was on the radio, it was SEVEN SECRETS OF THE SPHINX at the time i didn't know what was that, cause i used to listen to sissy rock, and from that moment on i was caught by the wings of the hydra, i fell into eclipse offered my self to megatherion

 the first son i heard was "the return", metal...real metal i thought, after that i became imediatly a fan and the first song with the opera singers and stuff was "evocation of vovin" and after that 12 year later...here we are

This is a really interesting topic. i am thinking about setting up a samples page some time in the future and it would be nice to look back to this topic to see what got people into Therion. I would like to know both what the first Therion song you heard was and what was the first song was that made you think Therion really is a great band.

For me the first song I heard was Seven Secret of the Sphinx, but the song that got me into Therion was Invocation of Naamah.

My first - To Mega Therion and that was all it took to hook me - then I got Live at Midgard and came to know the full range of Therion's talent.

Now after buying all the albums, To Mega Therion (+Preludium) still remains one of my favorties.

The first song was Midgard. Love at first sight/hearing. It was in a metal program on the radio. All rare in Brazil. :(

I thought about NW at the first time, then I realized that the two bands are extremely different.

The song that introduced me to Therion is one of Lemuria/Sirius B. I don't remember exactly which because I wasn't too interested on their music at the beginning. But then that album captured my attention and since then I started to know more about Theion and now I simply love their music !!!  :-D

Hey guys

This is a good starting to me on this forum.

The first CD that I heard of Therion was THELI, and the song that I loved was Cults of the Shadow, but I liked the whole album indeed!

I really can't remember! It was possibly a gig that introduced me to Therion. I went to see Samael in 1994, and Therion played support.

I don't remember which song, but it was a Vovin song that was played on a metal program on TV. What made really hooked me was Lepaca Kliffoth, especially Melez and the title track.

I was listening Deggial while playing Quake 1. After I finished with Quake I put Deggial to play and it was very strange album to me. I don't really remember first song I liked, I think it was Enter Vril-Ya, it could have been Seven Secrets of The Sphinx or The Invincible.

my first therion album was secert of the runes, (it looked really strange and i was in the mood for some strange music at the time, In Australia you have to have lots of friends into metal or just take stabs in the dark) and the song that really stuck with me, and still does, was Vanahiem.

I'm not sure what song I heard first, but Secret Of The Runes and Deggial were the first albums that made me realise how great Therion are. Asgard was the first Therion song I fell in love with.  :-D

It was To Mega Therion.
It remembers a friend. She speaks too much and when I don't pay attention in that she speaks, it looks so much with the music. :-D

The first song I heard was "The Blood of Kingu" and it totally hooked me to the band, the thing got stronger when I heard "The Khlysti Evangelist" a few minutes after that.

First Therion album I've heard was 'Crowning of Atlantis' in year 2000, I started to bleed  :evil: :-o  from the first song and Hell broke loose.

Aah I believe it was Lemuria...I heard some when my dad, who works for a metal magazine, played it. Then I downloaded some songs and Lemuria ended up on some compilation CD I made...and after a few spins I decided I wanted to hear more from this band so I err....downloaded L/SB. Don't worry though, I bought the albums a while later! I just wanted to be sure if it was the music for me.

A friend of mine had a friend at his house while i was talking to him online, he was ripping Secret of the Runes and sent me Nifelheim. I was instantly amazed. It shocked me, the choir and orchestral and classical work with the guitars and bass and drums. very layered and very well arranged.

For me Therion was the first band that I truly listended in my life, before that I wasn't interesed in music, except for some spanish pop group that I still enjoy.

I was introduced to Therion with Lemuria and Sirius B. When I heard Typhon I was totally amazed, I never listened to Metal before and the first guitar riff in that song is awesome, and then the opera singer starts, like a revelation. After that I become obssesed with music.

The wings of the Hydra and all the Lepaca Kliffoth Album, and the song that really gotme in to Therion was Via nocturna and it's still  one of my fauvorites.
