Mine was ''The Rise Of Sodom And Gomorrah'' (correct spelling on Gomorrah?), That caught my attention immediately.

The first Therion that I listened to was Wine of Aluqah. My boyfriend sent it to me summer of last year, and he expected me to hate the song. Haha, I fell in love with it instantly. Second song was The Invincible and third song I believe was Thor (not quite sure).

As for the song that got me into them.. I can't really say which. I kept demanding him to give me more songs, lmao.

For me it was Theli's Preludium. Since that day it's like a mistical anthem for me. With tracks like "To Megatherion", Nightside of Eden" and "Invocation of Naamah" I felt deeper and deeper... A friend (much love to Emilia for that)of mine gave me that stuff. It was a cassette in a pretty bad shape  :-D, but it was good enough to open that gate.

The entire Vovin album actually, Clavicula Nox became my immediate favourite though!

Back in 1993 or 94 a friend of mine had the "Beyond Sanctorum" cd and recorded the album on tape for me so the first song I've heard was "Future Consciousness". I have to say that at the time I didn't like it that much, although I loved "Symphony of the Dead". Back then I was mostly into traditional Metal (like Maiden) or Thrash (like Metallica or Megadeth) and Death Metal didn't have much appeal to me yet.

Then in 1996 that same friend recorded me a compilation called "Beauty in Darkness" and it had some great songs in there like "Whatever That Hurts" (Tiamat), "Moonshield" (In Flames), "Nepenthe" (Sentenced), "My Kantele" (Amorphis), "Nocturnal Supremacy" (COF) or"Tears of Time" (Crematory). But the song that made my jaw drop was "To Mega Therion", I had never heard anything like that before and had to get "Theli" asap. After I got "Theli" I was hooked ever since.

Enter Vril-Ya was the first Therion song I listened to, after the Deggial album was released, and at that time I thought it was the best song I had ever heard. I still adore it, and I am sure it will always remain one of my favourite Therion songs, but also one favourite song from all songs in the world I've ever heard. Now I love all Therion songs, especially those from the Theli album up to the present, from all of them there are many that I love more than the others, and Enter Vril-Ya will always be one of them. Well, first love can never be forgotten.

I bought the Lemuria/Sirius B double CD without having heard a single song.  It was sort of a risk, since I didn't know what the music was really like, but at the time I was a big Nightwish fan and I wanted to see how other groups do symphonic metal.  I bought the CD along with several other CDs from other bands, and didn't really give it a good listen until a week after.  The first song that really got me was "Lemuria".

After that, I bought Vovin... and from the very first track "The Rise of Sodom and Gomorrah" I loved it.  Since then I have bought every other full CD from Theli on, and I love it all.

I was enchanted with the "To Mega Therion"
then,I heard "Sun Of The Sun",wich I really loved, but the last drop that got me into Therion is "Wine Of Aluqah"-I saw it on TV,in after-midnight hours, little before I went to sleep.

After that,I was restless.

Well, the first FULL song was probably Into Remembrance, but the first song was Son of the Sun.  Some Metal website had a minute long clip of Son of the Sun that I listened to and fell in love with the song.  I downloaded a bunch of Therion tracks, then started to buy the CDs as fast as I could.  The first one I bought was Crowning of Atlantis, followed by Lemurius B (err, thats what my best friend and I rcall Lemuria/Sirius B, since we consider them equals in more ways than one).  I can't remember the progression from their.

Don't worry, I payed for each of the downloads later, by buying the CDs!

I bought Lemuria first without hearing one song. In the beginning I didn't like it very much at that time I was more into right to your face power metal like Iced Earth and stuff. Not that whole symphonic metal. But after 4 week lying around I played the cd again and since that moment I was sold

The Wild Hunt was the song that introduced me into Therion, I also realized how awesome the band is.

Hey all! I just signed in, so this is my very first post, and I believe this is the best topic to start with. I'm glad to see that there are so many new Therion fans, the people which were fascinated by Therion with new(er) albums and songs. The very first Therion song I've heard was Baal Reginon, since Ho Drakon Ho Megas was their first album I've heard. But to be honest, I didn't like it at all or maybe I should say I didn't get it or understand it. Then the infamous Beauty In Darkness came out [as already mentioned] with amazing To Mega Therion, and the whole new world opened to me. I remember back then I thought~ this is huge! Ever since then, I am a big Therion fan. Cheerz!
