well I just saw the live show streamed from Wacken ;D Thomas... well he has a good voice, very close to Mats' in almost all aspects... problem is he didn't really do his homework and messed up loads of lyrics, plus he can't really synchronise himself with the choir yet... and well not Mats' stage presence and charisma either ;D but he's a good singer :) other than that the show was great... the band was as tight and professional as always... and Lori shined like a star :lol:

I was at work and i did not want to miss it ! My first attempt at recording live streams and i don't really know if it's good.

The concert was awesome !!! Congratulations, also Thomas, the new singer did a great job.
And the ladies were hot as hell, and these voices.....this made my day :-)

Well I just read Misses Swans review about Thomas. I  thought he was a little bit unsecure here and there, but he is
high professional and I really liked and enjoyed his appearance a lot, he definitely fits to the band/show and I really loved his singing.
I would not compare him to Mats, also Mats is really a class on its own.

like I said, I also think Thomas is a very good singer, his voice is obviously highly trained... also I think his voice is very similar to Mats in range and type... didn't really feel much difference from the way Mats sang his lead vocals and Thomas... and for me that's a good thing, cause I really didn't want something too different on, for example, Son of the Staves of Time... my only disappointments were messing up lyrics and un-synchronisation, things that with time are easily resolved... I compared him to Mats as stage presence and there I think (well at least for me) Mats is superior

I'm way too tired to post the pictures I got.. I did manage to upload them though. 

If you hear Thomas sing "Son of the Staves of Time"  you would be a believer.  Of course he seemed a little nervous, could you imagine your first show with your new band being Wacken??!!!  :-o 

Anyway, I'm exhusted and I'm only going to get two hours of sleep before I run out to Wacken again, (Where I'm staying is pretty far from the fest). 

Therion were excellent though as usual.  I watched a lot of bands yesterday, and when I got back to my hotel room all the songs that were stuck in my head were Therions. 

Good job guys!  Can't wait to see you in New York! :-D

I saw the online cast too, with LOUD speakers   :-D
Absolutely great show: fresh, energetic and well played!
This show made me think Therion steps into a new stage, which I enjoy as much as the old one. Possibly even more, as the mis-en-scene and interaction between the 4 singers is a more dramatic/theatrical one. I'm positive the new singer will make his own contribution to this new feeling. Btw, welcome and thanks - Thomas Wikström, liked very much your interpretation!  No second thoughts hearing you on Therion "hits" like Blood of Kingu or Son of the staves of time.

Very good set list to my taste - never heard Tuna 1613 live till now, sounded amazing, and same goes for  Muspelheim and Ginnungagap - loved the live feeling.
Whoever wrote Lori is a star, should say it louder  :-D - flawless on  Schwarzalbenheim, looked as she liked singing in front of thousands   8-)   And Katarina, wow, really good in her wild-witchy shoes (even if she was bare-footed  :evil:)

Looking forward to more reviews from people who were there. All in all, I will not miss future live shows in my neighborhood...
