I love Deggial, like I love most Therion albums. What makes it special is the laid back metal and heavy orchestration. Via Nocturna is the embodyment of the kind of Therion I would like to hear more of, and Eternal Return would be close, if not for some uninspired (in my opinion) guitar riffs (2:02, 5:40 through 6:20).
Emerald Crown is also a nice violin piece that would have worked nice in a classical Therion show. Ship of Luna and Enter Vril-ya are strong compositions. The Invincible is a great athmospheric acoustic song, and the choir works great. The title song is great, but they could have dumped the final metal part, since the contrast is way too strong.
Flesh of the Gods is the counterweight song to an otherwise non-metal album, and The Flight of The Lord of Flies and O fortuna are strong Therionized classical songs.
What I really don't like is the Seven Secrets of the Sphinx song, all because of the chorus. It sounds like some cheeky children mock-singing, and it really takes you out of the moodBut the album as a whole is a great one and it works great with Vovin, the other not-so-metal Therion album.
