TS membership renewal problem
« on: August 30, 2009, 12:33:02 PM »
Ok, so my mebership expired on August 29th, I payed for a renewal on the 28th (got a confirmation receipt from PayPal and all that), but I can't login to the TS webpage, nor have access to the TS forum anymore. I sent an email to the TS administration but got no reply. I'd really appreciate it if this could get solved quickly. Thanks!

I had the same problem it might take a little while but it will got fixed.I used the renewal link and got a confrimation e-mail from paypal. You might want to forward that to the T.S. administration, it might make things quicker, if you paid that way.

Why don't you just renew on time and not the last day!
Kidding, I had the same problem a few months ago.
It was solved in two days.

I have to resurrect this as my membership expires in 9 days and no word has come from TS administration yet. I sent mails to both administration @therionstore.com and society @therionstore.com. It's been 8 days now since renewal.

Any advice?

What kind of word are you expecting? Have you paid for it?

Of course I paid, otherwise I wouldn't be expecting membership to be renewed.

As I said, 8 days passed with 2 mails sent in the meantime. No reply about where the problem occurred nor any reply at all.

I signed up on the 1st of June for the Society and have not received a reply to my emails as of yet.  I'm assuming the Admin Staff are on holiday, any thoughts?

Someone contacted me because they can't seem to register on the forum. He/she said they tried several emails but never got a confirmation message. Who should I tell them to contact?

I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago, I send a mail to markus (olemarkus@olemarkus.org) and he said he check it and it was working, then, when i tried to re-send the confirmation mail, it worked >.>

Send it where is say you should where the membership is bought:

I don't find any unanswered mails, so I think Belinda is up to date. If she hasn't answered, then it must have been sent somewhere else.
You can also use the Therion Store admin address, as it is bought from there.

Thanks Chris! I wasn't referring to the TS, just the registration on the regular forum. I posted it here, because I didn't want to open a new topic just for that.

Sorry for posting in this old topic, but I have a question about TS membership fee:Can I send the fee by regular mail?I'm asking this because on the Therion Store site says that orders can be paid only by Pay-Pal.
So,is this considered an order?I would prefer to use the regular mail since it doesn't help me to use any net-related method.

Contact TS for that. The forum won't give you much useful answers.

So,I did not know if I should start a new topic about this, but since there is this topic,I will post here:

There's a problem with the actual membership purchase.I have sent the registered letter with the address given when I placed the order. The problem started when it reached Sweden, since I use the item ID to track it down and the messages I get are that  "The recipient is not known at the given address",and that the letter is now on the way back to me.

I used this address:

Therion Society
Postbox 37
147 21 Tumba
SWEDEN

I sent an e-mail yesterday morning to the swedish post service (Posten) and I got no reply, and I also sent an e-mail to the Therion Store admin yesterday and I got no answer from there as well.I don't know what else to do since I wrote the right address on the letter.
I must say though that this thing is getting very annoying since post offices here have very strict working hours.Last week I had to take the whole day off from work just to be able to post this letter. You can understand that not being able to get the job done and at the same time having no reply from anyone is quite disappointing.

@The_Anemone_Song  - My guess is that you have to wait until the band is back to Sweden (mid December or so) and then try to contact Therion society admin. Probably now they are all busy with the tour and so on - write them an email about your issue and ...patience  :-) you'll get it sorted out . Cheer up!

The weird thing is that I also sent an e-mail last week asking if I can send the money via post office, and I got a reply on the same day. Now,it has been almost two days and I got nothing-not even from the swedish post office! Are they on tour as well?  :-D

Anyway, thanks for the kind support,I just get disappointed very easily it seems

You might have been lucky and sent your previous mail on the right time to be noticed when the mail was checked. I'm pretty sure you'll be all set before the end of the year. It might take until after the tour though.

The point is that the letter now is on its way back to me...And I will probably have to pay for the return as well...So,I don't know what to do.The swedish post office replied to me that the mailman could not find the receiver on the stated address to deliver the notification...   :?

Is that a letter where someone must sign to get it?

I had a lot of problems with things being delivered to me in Cincinnati because the post office dind't do its job but that's because they hired mainly minorities and disabled people who felt they didn't need to work since their job was with the government. I didn't think sweden had the same problems.

That's weird nobody would be working at the therion society. Maybe you could have used a different name? Therion or something...

When I had a po box all they did was drop letters in there or boxes and would leave it until I picked it up. If they are sending it back I would guess probably because it needs to be signed in order to be delivered.

You can buy pre-loaded "credit cards" or gift cards to buy things online. They are expensive but its a lot easier.

Usually it cost $5. So you can buy a $50 card for $55 or something. Then you can use that on pay pall or any online orders. You don't need a bank acount or credit or anything and nobody can steal your money its just however much is loaded on there, no personal information is given either.

I don't know about in other countries but in the states they sell visa and mastercard "gift cards" in nearly every store!

http://usa.visa.com/personal/cards/prepaid/visa_gift_card.html

What's funny about the United States is when I order something in the summer it will come about 3 months later, very rudely no appologies. If I order during Christmas it comes in two days or a week and they always appologize for being late, everybody is very friendly etc.

It's because they hire extra people for the holidays and everybody is so concerned about holiday sales. Then in the summer I must feel lucky if I get my package at all. I don't know if its the same elsewhere. But seems better to send things around Christmas.

Especially when they deliver after dec. 25 they send letters like "so sorry" but really I just ordered it for myself back then I always ordered CDs and such through the mail. Like nuclear blast sent me a bunch of free demo discs and posters and stuff before. Its weird get treated like a king at christmas time get spit on in the summer.
I got issues

All this info is very useful (and thank you for posting them) but it's only about USA,where services like banks actually work. Here,in Greece, there can be no trust placed on the banks, especially at this point.

This is why I don't use online payment methods, because there is a chance I will lose my money, and that chance is big,so I don't wish to risk it...Here,in order to get a pre-paid card, you need to give private info like ID number and Tax Register number.

I used the name given to me when i placed the order, which was Therion Society. But no one lost my letter, not even the not-to-be-trusted Greek post office  :-D  The Track and Trace function has worked fine so far(I only hope the letter won't get lost on its way back  )

Btw,i'm pretty shocked to read that post offices don't work in the USA...I thought that all services work in your country

please keep this strictly about TS mailing and whatever other problems. Don't turn it into a debate about postal services or posts will be removed.
Thanks
