The first death metal cds were awesome. Only that I preffer the newst ones

By the way, it wouldn't be a bad idea to re-record at least a couple of songs from of darkness and beyond sanctorum

1. Nifelheim - SOTR (fantastic use of choir there)
2. From the Dionysian Days - COA (great and unusual beat and again choir)
3. Up to Nezach/Floating Back - AAZLCD (tenors give me goosebumps)

Favourite cover song:
Has to be Summernight City. When you convert 70s disco so successfully to metal, you have to be the ubergr1m!

Here are my best five, and why each one is one of the best:
1.Cults of the Shadow: If you all knew the band before the release of Theli, then u are likely to disagree with me, but if u didn't I can bet that this was the song that opened your eyes and ears to a new and magnificent metal experience!!
2. Evocation of Vovin; Has anyone ever seen such a change in directions, mood and use of the instruments to finish with a superb choir?
3. Rise of Sodom and Gomorrah: Obvious reasons, the blend of the filarmonic orchestra instruments and the metal instruments, the bass, the choirs, everything.
4. Flesh of the gods: A nice metal voice combined with the violins, the guitars, the choirs at the end, and overall, a great opening!
5.The Crowning of Atlantis: Choirs, metal elements, atlantean myth, the best voices in the world, wut else?

1. Via Nocturna (It is just the most beautiful song in the World).
2. Flesh of the Gods ('Cause Hansi's voice is in there).
3. Melez (The riff is great, and the arabian sound).
4. Vanaheim.
5. Eternal Return.

But there are more great songs to me, like To Mega Therion, In the Desert of Set, and The Rise of Sodom and Gomorrah.

This shouldn't be the finest 5 songs.... It should be the best 5 albums....because no song of Therion should be separated of the album.... They have the meanings toghter, otherwise they wouldn't have created an album..... Remember that these are not just songs, but an entire philosophy, which contains very important ideas that lead to what may be to be known.
The ideas however are to be understand only for some kind of listeners. Anyway, I do not wish to argue with anyone...just saying what I
believe...
